Oxidative Biodegradable lamination film

KOREAPREPAC produces oxidative and biodegradable lamination films to reduce environmental pollution and carbon emissions from plastic products.

  • Thickness: 25 ~ 200㎛ (<±6%)

  • width: 400mm ~ 3,000mm

 Characteristic

    - It is completely biodegraded by mixing PE with an oxidative biodegradation catalyst product.
    - Since 1~2% of oxidative biodegradation catalyst is mixed with PE, it has little effect on the film properties.

    - Biodegradation proceeds through a process in which the PE film initially oxidizes and decomposes, and the molecules with a smaller molecular weight become hydrophilic and are completely biodegraded by microorganisms.
    - Decomposition begins after the product's lifespan (approximately 5 years of use) is disposed of in the external environment.
    - Suitable for food packaging specifications.
    - It can be recycled like existing PE.

  ■ Specification

- Suitable for food packaging specifications.
- It is 100% biodegradable and does not produce microplastics.
- It is a product that is highly functional with starch (TPS) extracted from potatoes and corn to completely biodegrade PE when mixed with PE.

- Decomposition is possible under seawater conditions.

- 97% decomposes in 370 days when TPS 25%/LLDPE 75% enRp 25 um. (ASTM D5338, Commercial Composting Conditions)
